Saint Gertrude began as a girl and a press.

In 2008, Amy Constable rescued her first printing press from a chicken shed in Moe and lovingly restored it back to working order. Ten years and six presses later, Amy is one of Australia's foremost letterpress printers.

Between 2013 to 2017, Saint Gertrude ran the first Australian Letterpress School and Open Access Studio Program; a learning opportunity so rare that it attracted students from all over Australia and the world. The sale of her studio space in 2017 has meant that group workshops are on current (but not permanent!) hiatus. Please stay tuned.

She teaches one-on-one classes, produces work for select clients, on commission and in collaborations.
