Introduction to Letterpress

Introduction to Letterpress

This is your last opportunity to attend this unique beginners guide to working in modern letterpress.

With no prerequisites other than a curious mind, this class is for anyone and everyone interested in learning more about letterpress. While suitable for designers and illustrators, no design or print experience required to attend. The full day workshop begins with a history of the letterpress process and a letterpress demonstration before getting your hands inky on ‘Gordon’ the 100-year-old printing press and ‘Maria’ the ‘Canon Pixma of 1952’. You will take home a swag of letterpress goodies that you have printed yourself, including a letterpress print by a prominent Australian illustrator.

Class runs from 10am - 4pm at Little Gold Studios in Brunswick. Price includes lunch and refreshments.

Upon completion of this class, you may be eligible to utilise the Press for Hire Open Access Studio Program.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that cancellations and refunds are not possible, but you are allowed to swap into another class within the same Semester if done at least one month prior to the date of your booked class.
